Product Description The Evenflo Big Kid DLX Booster Seat provides added cushioning and dual activity lights. The activity lights can be used during evening commutes. The added cushioning in the head and body will keep your child comfortable during long rides. The one hand full-body height adjustment allows the seat to grow with your child. Functionality, Security, and Looks - this booster has it all August 5, 2010 Mac Riddel (Minneapolis, MN) After researching booster seats for a few months, I finally settled on the Evenflo Big Kid DLX. It seemed to have the most functionality, the price was good, and the "Cactus" coloring looked great in my car. My 45lb 4-year-old had outgrown his old car seat and we wanted something that he could grow with and would be easy to use and this booster definitely fit the bill. Like all the affordable boosters (under a hundred), this seat cannot stop your child's head from going forward when it's nap time, so keep that in mind. But for kids this young, it doesn't appear to bother them too much! We went this seat for a few reasons: 1. High ratings (duh) 2. Comfort 3. The back can come off as our child ages 4. It looks great in any car 5. Cup holders (unfortunately, they aren't easy to open/close) 6. Bright led light on each side of the seat (not used often, but helpful on long trips) Our son can nearly strap himself into this seat, but still needs a little help pulling the seatbelt far enough. He can also get out of it without issue. Even though the cup holders are a bit tough to pull out, he still really enjoys putting his drinks in them and was more excited about this feature than any other when we first purchased this booster. 5 stars from me after 2 months of use!
Turbobooster Car Seat July 27, 2010 ARNPmom We really like the car sears. They have a lot more cushion than the Graci versions we had previously. The arm rest also lifts which makes it easier for the kids to get in and buckle themselves. Just had an eight hour car trip with no complaints!
great seat July 1, 2010 mom of 2 no problems with the seat, my son loves it and it looks great too. About the free shipping.... previous poster mentioned having trouble getting free shipping. It's never been an issue with any of the items I've ordered in the past, you have to select free shipping to get it but it works every single time w/out having to sign up for any offers, no tricks, straight forward, not sure why the other poster had issues with it??
Barbara Hayes June 30, 2010 Barbara K. Hayes This has been a great booster chair for my grandson. Since I do not have him full time, this seat is so easy to place in car and remove. He loves having his big boy seat and I love the convenience and safety.
Great Buy April 17, 2010 Crystal R. Miller (Colorado) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
We bought this car seat for my 4 year old from Target a few weeks ago. It is quite nice. I have not found anything NOT to like about it. We haven't used the activity lights yet because we don't drive at night a lot. Here are some great things about it: -The padding is very cushy and nice. Much better than the other seats we were looking at in this price range. -My son is very comfortable in it. He wants to take rides in the car just to sit in his seat. -The Seat belt adjuster is a good shape/size for ease of use. When my son has ridden in my friend's kid's high back booster the seat belt adjuster is just thin enough that the seat belt gets folded over and stuck in it so he can't extend it. This is such a pain because I have to get out and help him untwist it almost every time. It makes him much less self-sufficient. This seat's adjuster is much better and fits him nicely. -The cup/snack holders are handy and I like that they can be slid into the seat and out of the way if you need more space in the seats next to this one. -The arm rests can easily be raised, which helps him get his seat belt buckled more easily. I don't think he has the coordination to pass the seat belt under a fixed arm rest and out the other side yet. -The seat cover is removable and washable however, I have not tried washing it yet. Over all, I would highly recommend this seat. It's worth the 5 extra bucks (vs. other seats like the Graco.) for the extra padding alone; not to mention the other features.
