My daughter and I LOVE this seat! March 3, 2010 S. R. Hinch (Haverhill, MA) I bought 2 (one for each car) for my daughter, 4. She loves it! It makes her feel like a big girl. It very light and easy for her to move. The cup holders are cool, because its a strap that goes across, which means you can put different size and shape items in it. My daughter likes putting her little stuffed animals in it. The color is a nice shade of red. She calls it her Lightning McQueen seat, and thinks she's in a race car. The lap belt sits nice across her lap with this seat, and it has a guide for the shoulder belt if it doesn't fit right. I don't need to use it because my car's shoulder belts are height adjustable, so I can get the right position that way. The cushion on seat is surprisingly confortable, and really easy to remove if you need to clean it. I would recommend this seat to everybody!
Love the chair! February 18, 2010 David T. Matthewman (LA, California) I'd highly recommend this seat. Consumer affairs ranked it one of the safest and it's a reasonable price. It's comfy and easy to use.
great February 14, 2010 M. Jackson For the money, this is a great buy. Only reservation is the hardness of the seat.
Misleading instructions -- NOT safe for preschoolers without belt clip February 13, 2010 Gentle Reader (Oakland, CA United States) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
This car seat comes with a belt clip on the underside of it. The clip positions the shoulder belt to make it secure for a smaller child who is technically tall enough and heavy enough for the seat, but whose torso just isn't long enough for the shoulder belt. However, my seat arrived without an instruction booklet, and nowhere -- not on the website, not on the box, not on the pictures on the side of the seat itself -- was the clip ever shown in use. Without the clip, the shoulder belt stood away from my daughter, cutting across her neck. If I hadn't been horrified and done some research (finally found reference to the belt clip -- never pictured -- in the installation video), I'd still be driving her around like that, confused by the 5-star ratings and the claim that it meets federal safety standards. And what are they doing sending these seats out with no instruction booklet, supposed to be located underneath the seat? Not a good experience.
Great for visiting family! February 3, 2010 S. Chilton (O.C., California, USA) I purchased this seat so we could more easily take our grandson in the car with us when we visit. My research showed this with a 5 star safety rating, so that was a huge factor! It's light weight, easy to get in and out of the car, and will be easy to store when we're not there :-) And he loved feeling more like a "grown up".
