Great Carseat! Great Price! August 29, 2010 Mom in Phoenix After contemplating for 2 weeks which carseat to purchase for our 3 year old son, we decided on this one. I was looking for a 5-point harness system as I was not ready to put him in a seatbelt booster yet. I was really impressed with this carseat. My son was with us when we tested which one to buy, and he found this one to be the most comfortable. I was concerned, since he is big for his age, that the crotch belt would be too short, but he has plenty of room. He also has plenty of room as far as the harness straps go as well. I would consider this carseat when looking to purchase one that has a higher weight limit for the harness system. The price was great too since it was right around $80 and when you have to buy two who can really afford a $200+ carseat?
Great Seat! August 11, 2010 A. Noble (Colorado) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this car seat for my 3 1/2 year old who is big for his age but not ready for a booster. I could not afford the "better" booster/car seats for $150+. I love it! Its very comfy and he loves the cup holders. I found it installs very easy and I've installed it in several different cars using LATCH and seatbelt. The only complaint I have it that I find the chest buckle a little hard to open but that's it! Its a very minor complaint and I can't find anything else wrong with it. I plan on using it for a long time. I think its a great seat for a great price!
what i have been looking for August 8, 2010 twins 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have the Britax Marathon at home and have been looking for a 5 point harness seat that is not so big. I have 3.5 year old twins that are on the smaller side. I was tired of the big seats and was looking for cup holders. When we went on vacation we were needing to get new seats to use while we were in California. We went to Target to look and found this seat. We live in Houston and have never seen these seats before. The girls loved them and the 2 cup holders, one for cups, the other for a toy or baggie of snacks. We left the seats in California and now I am searching to get the seats at home. I cannot find them at the stores, so Amazon it is! So worth getting!!!
Love this seat July 9, 2010 Lueanna Bracha (Idaho) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
We purchased two of these seats a few months ago when we purchased a second vehicle. Our second vehicle is a mid size Dodge car with 4 doors and these fit perfectly. They went in easily and were much faster to install than our other seats (we also have the nautilus and a convertible infant to toddler). I have had no problems with these seats at all. They are easy to adjust and the belts have not twisted. They wipe clean easily and the covers are just as easy to remove as other seats we have owned. I love the cup holders as they are easy for my children to use and a great place to stick the odd toy or two. We are using these for 2 boys. The youngest is a 2yo who is very skinny at 24lbs but of average height. Our other child is almost 5 and is average height and weight. The Nautilus is a nicer car seat overall but for the price I would purchase this one and put the extra in the bank.
Nice seat but returned due to concern son would outgrow February 11, 2010 Cedar 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Evenflo makes really nice car seats. We have three of the Triumph Advances, which are great. We bought the Maestro for grandma's car at a local store based on a recommendation. The price is right for a 50lb harness. Sadly, the Maestro barely fit my 30lb son. The crotch strap set to the outer position fit him with no spare room, which means that it would likely not take him all the way up to 50lbs. The manual says that the crotch strap should be as close as possible but not under the child's bottom. I've heard a car seat tech say that that means the child's bones should not be on the strap but that it's ok for the strap to come up and out (I think the preferred positioning is angled out and then up or straight up but never angled back towards the child). I must say that the crotch strap is long so it's possible that it fits most kids in most cases. But we decided to pay the additional money and get another Triumph Advance and not take the risk of outgrowing the seat. Otherwise we were impressed with this seat.
